De Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT) is ontworpen door de World Health Organization (WHO) om personen met riskante en schadelijke patronen van alcoholgebruik te identificeren. Voor de MATE ontstond ook de behoefte om een over een korte screeningsmodule te beschikken. Daarvoor hebben wij de AUDIT uitgekozen die nu als module Q4 binnen de MATE is opgenomen.
Omdat er geen officiële Nederlandse vertaling van de AUDIT beschikbaar was, hebben wij met toestemming van de WHO de AUDIT in het Nederlands vertaald. Wij hopen dat deze vertaling bij zal dragen aan een uniform gebruik van de AUDIT in Nederland.
